Academic Year: The academic year consists of 10 months which will be split into two semesters (fall and spring). Students will receive a total of 17 lessons for each semester.
Fall Semester: September-January
Spring Semester: February-June
Tuition: Tuition is based on enrollment, not attendance. Tuition reserves your lesson day and time as well as studio benefits and the teacher’s preparation time outside of the lesson. Tuition may either be paid in full at the start of the semester or divided into 5 monthly installments. Payment will be accepted via Venmo, Zelle, cash, or check.
Monthly Tuition: During the school year (September-June) monthly tuition is a flat rate based on 17 lessons per semester. If paying per month, payment is expected by the first lesson of the month. Students who choose to pay monthly will receive payment reminders via email at the end of each month prior to when tuition is due.
Full Semester Tuition: Students who choose to pay for the full semester will receive a 5% discounted rate. If paying for the full semester, payment is expected by the first lesson of each semester. Tuition includes a total of 17 lessons per semester.

Late Payments: If tuition is not submitted by the second lesson of the month, lessons will be suspended until payment is received.
Summer Months: During the summer, lessons are not part of the tuition plan. Instead, students pre-pay for three or four lessons at a time. In order to reschedule a lesson, 24-hours notice must be provided. Students who choose to withdraw from lessons during the summer should be aware that their lesson time cannot be held and may be offered to another student. If you wish to resume lessons in the fall, you will need to select from the available slots at that time.
Attendance and Scheduling: Regular weekly lessons are essential to a student’s success at the piano. Each student will be reserved a specific day and time during which they are expected to attend each week. Please choose a time that you and/or your child will be able to commit to for the duration of the academic year. Schedule changes can be very difficult to accommodate and cannot be guaranteed.
Missed Lessons: Refunds will not be given for missed lessons. Cancellations with under 24-hours notice will result in the student forfeiting the lesson. Please note that tuition will not be prorated for lessons cancelled by the student.
Makeup Lessons: If a student must miss a lesson and at least 24-hours notice is given, I will do my best to reschedule, subject to availability. Students are limited to two makeup lessons per academic year. All makeup lessons must be completed by the end of June. Please refer to the calendar for designated makeup days. Once the date for makeup lessons are agreed upon, they cannot be rescheduled again. If the instructor must cancel, a makeup lesson will be guaranteed.
Inclement Weather: Lessons will be given online in the event of inclement weather.
Arrival, Observation, and Pickup : Lessons are scheduled back-to-back. To ensure each student receives their full, uninterrupted lesson time, students should arrive at their scheduled time only. If you arrive early, please wait in your car or outside the studio until your lesson begins.
I maintain an open-door policy, and parents or guardians are welcome to remain in the studio during their child’s lesson.
Students must be picked up promptly at the conclusion of their lesson. Because lessons run consecutively, I am unable to provide supervision beyond the scheduled lesson time.
Performances Opportunities:
-
Studio Recitals: Two studio recitals will be held during the academic year. Recitals are a great opportunity for students to perform for family and friends in a positive and supportive environment. A recital fee of $20 per student will be charged for each recital. Participation is not mandatory but strongly encouraged.
-
NYSSMA: Students have the option of participating in NYSSMA, an annual festival consisting of different musical components.
