Academic Year: The academic year consists of 10 months which will be split into two semesters (fall and spring). Students will receive a total of 17 lessons for each semester.
Fall Semester: September-January
Spring Semester: February-June

Tuition: Tuition includes the student's weekly lesson time, lesson planning, materials and supplies, driving time, travel-related expenses, communication with parents/students, and professional membership dues. Tuition may either be paid in full at the start of the semester or divided into 5 monthly installments. Payment will be accepted via Venmo, Zelle, cash, or check. Please contact me for specific lesson rates.

Monthly Tuition: During the school year (September-June) monthly tuition is a flat rate based on 17 lessons per semester. If paying per month, payment is expected by the first lesson of each month. Students who choose to pay monthly will receive payment reminders via email at the end of each month prior to when tuition is due.

Full Semester Tuition: Students who choose to pay for the full semester will receive a 5% discounted rate. If paying for the full semester, payment is expected by the first lesson of each semester. Tuition includes a total of 17 lessons per semester.

Late Payments: If tuition is not submitted by the 10th of the month, lessons will be suspended until payment is received.

Summer Months: During the summer (end of June, July and August), students prepay for three or four lessons at a time. In order to reschedule a lesson, 24-hours notice must be provided. Otherwise, the lesson will be forfeited. Students who take at least three lessons over the summer will receive priority scheduling for the fall.
Attendance and Cancellation: Regular weekly lessons are essential to a student’s success at the piano. Each student will be reserved a specific day and time during which they are expected to attend each week. Please choose a time slot that you and/or your child will be able to commit to for the duration of the academic year as adjustments can be difficult to make once the schedule is set.
Missed Lessons: If a student must miss a lesson and 24-hours notice is given, I will do my best to reschedule, subject to availability. Students are limited to up to two makeup lessons per fall and spring semesters which will not roll over. Tuition will not be refunded if a student misses a lesson. Notifications under 24-hours notice will result in the student forfeiting the lesson. If the instructor must cancel, a makeup lesson will be guaranteed.

Inclement Weather: Lessons will be given online in the event of inclement weather.
Performances Opportunities:
-
Studio Recitals: Two studio recitals will be held during the academic year. Recitals are a great opportunity for students to perform for family and friends in a positive and supportive environment. A recital fee of $20 per student will be charged for each recital. Participation is not mandatory but strongly encouraged.
-
NYSSMA: Students have the option of participating in NYSSMA, an annual festival consisting of different musical components.
-
ABRSM Exams: The ABRSM exam is great for students who are looking for a more intensive performance evaluation.
